I do believe when Terrell and Diane married 50 years ago, no one believed they would make it!!! Diane was YOUNG…Terrell was older…and what were the odds. These two love birds made it…they have been together for 50 years!
A celebration was held Saturday night at the home of their son Dr. Lake and Michelle Garner in Hattiesburg. Almost all the family attended. The Garners have a big family…I got to see Terrell’s sisters and one brother! I had not seen the oldest Garner girl, Beulah Marie (Marie now) in 50 years! Terrell’s daddy, A. J. and mother Nadine were instrumental in the establishment of Simpson Academy.
I can’t name all the grandchildren!
Terrell and Diane are the parents of Lake, Tanilia, and Tara.
Before moving to Hattiesburg several years ago, Diane and Terrell operated business in Magee. Diane had “The Clothes Line” which rented formal dresses, Terrell was in the floor covering business. Diane now has a successful formal shop in Hattiesburg on Lincoln Road. I think Terrell still does everything! All the Garner children are business and “hands” smart. They are quite a talented family!
Terrell discussed with me how no one thought they would make it! Terrell said he wish he could go back and show some of those people now! Terrell loves Diane! They literally grew up together!
One of the grandchildren is Anna Paso, the daughter of Tara and the late Patrick Pasco. (Has on the deep red dress sitting near Diane).
I hope ya’ll enjoy! I hated to post without names…but just could not remember all those grands!
Diane McPhail and I enjoyed our visit with Diane…she is still a hoot…and Terrell could not have been nicer! They both look great!
Happy Anniversary and many more.
