Taking time off.  We all need time away from work, or doing housework, or working in the yard.  Taking time to rest is important so that we can get revived again.

But what about taking time off from our spiritual life?  How many times do we get a little relaxed and put our spiritual life on “cruise control”? That is the one area that we can’t afford to take time away.    We will find ourselves thinking “Hmm, “Have I talked with God today?” or “If I wasn’t in such a hurry, I would help that person I just saw”.

The moment you start to drift away from God, is when you are most vulnerable and weak.  Your relationship with God and serving Him should be at the forefront of your mind whether you are at work, completing housework or on vacation.  I am thankful that God doesn’t take a vacation away from us!
