Sybil Ann Brown Switzer, 80, went home to be with her heavenly father on Thursday, April 30, 2020. She was born on August 10, 1939, in Pinola, Mississippi to H.L. and Ella Merle (Milllis) Brown.
Sybil Switzer was a long-time employee of the Mississippi Highway Department and retired from the Mississippi Department of Education after 40 plus years. Since retiring, she has enjoyed spending time with her family. No matter where she was or what she was doing, her family was always the most important thing to her as was the Lord.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Switzer is preceded in death by her loving husband, Curtis L. Switzer.
Sybil is survived by two sons, Byron Switzer (Karen) and Aubrey Pridgen (Debbie); one daughter, Brenda Cockrell Mims (Paul); brothers, Charles Lennis Brown (Bonnie) and Johnnie Mike Brown (Angela) and sister-in-law, Gale Switzer McPhail.
The family will have a graveside service at Rials Creek Cemetery in Mendenhall on Saturday, May 2, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. Brother George Owens will officiate. Interment will follow.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
