My heart was broken when I learned of the death of  my friend Renee Stringer.  To me, Renee had such a sweet sweet spirit.  Her infectious smile;  her love for her family and friends;  her love for life was visible everyday.

Several months ago, Diane McPhail and I attended a prayer vigil at Overflow Church for Renee.  We were a little late arriving.  As I sat and watched the love encircling Renee, I realized even as she faced death she was ministering to others.  Her grandchildren, her children, her siblings, her extended family, and her many many friends wrapped Renee in love.  But, to me, the testimony came from Renee.  She was strong.  She was loving.  She knew her Lord and Savior and was ready for whatever lay ahead.

As Christians, we are taught to accept death as God’s will.  I must confess, accepting is very difficult for me…but I never doubt my Savior’s love and wisdom…so there, my doubts are answered through God’s love.
