The April 15, 2024, Simpson County Board of Supervisors was called to order by Board President Mitchell Chatman followed by prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.  All board members were present.

The R. J Young contract for the youth court service office was approved.

Road manager Ben Warren explained “you just can’t fix this stuff” as he explained the need for a lease program for heavy equipment.  “The lease will allow when a machine goes down…another one is brought.”  Supervisor Wayne Womack requested a proposal to be presented at the next meeting to weigh the pros and cons.  Warren stated the importance of safety lights on all trucks.  “The traffic is unreal…without proper lights, we are at a safety risk,” said Warren.
