The Simpson County Board of Supervisors meeting was rescheduled for Friday, 19, 2021 due to inclement weather in the area.

The board opened a discussion applauding the emergency personnel during the ice/snow storm. Firefighters, police officers, dispatchers, EMC, Ambulance all worked together to make the crisis as smooth as possible. Simpson County volunteers were organized and worked well together.  These guys went above and beyond the call of duty delivering medical supplies, cutting trees, delivering meals to stranded truckers, and delivering employees to work. A special thank-you was to be sent to each and everyone who played a role in storm recovery.

Road Manger Ben Warren wanted to thank all citizens who helped  clearing roads and cutting trees. At meeting time, most roads had been cleared and were operable. Crews will work in the coming days to remove all debris from ditches due to the storm.
