Thirty-six teams will be arriving in Magee this weekend for the MAIS Overall State Championship. The Jimmy Clyde Sportsplex will be filled with a bunch of hard hitting, hard playing softball girls! Simpson will play MRA in the tournament at 10 on Saturday.  Snack food is needed for the Hospitality Coaches Room.  Contact David Dunn if you can bring food.  (601-382-2131)

Poll Time – Best Dressed in Magee?

May 15, 2026

I failed to post something I received around the first of September. Who knows what planet I was on during that time. But, I wanted to share a praise report from Sherri Darden:

“HATS OFF to Officer Dillan Brown of the Magee Police Department!!
Last night I had trouble with my headlights on Hwy. 49 in Magee. What could have been a scary situation was handled very professionally by this Magee officer.
In a time when most of the news we hear and read is bad, it is a blessing to know that good people are still around!!
Officer Brown was very helpful, courteous and stayed with me until my family arrived and fixed the problem! Thanks again Officer Brown for your help on Hwy 49 Praying for you and fellow officers!!”

Much thanks to our Magee PD!
