STUARD ANNOUNCES NEW LAW OFFICE LOCATION
IN SIMPSON COUNTY
Megan R. Stuard with the law firm of Stuard & Associates, PLLC, has opened a new office location in Simpson County to better serve clients and expand law services in the area.
Located at 145 East Court Street in the new Ameriprise Financial Place professional building in Mendenhall, MS, the new office will be headed by Stuard, an attorney with an additional office located in Meridian, MS.
“As the firm continues to grow, I was looking for an opportunity to better serve clients,” said Stuard. “The central location of Mendenhall in Simpson County and the opportunity for growth in the community made this an easy decision.”
Stuard is a graduate of Simpson County Academy in Mendenhall. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2008 and earned her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Mississippi College in 2011.
Prior to practicing law, in 2008, Stuard interned in the office of U.S. Senator Thad Cochran in Washington D.C. In 2009 and 2010 Stuard clerked for the 13th District Chancery Court and for John Colette & Associates in Jackson, MS. She founded Stuard Law Office, PLLC in Meridian in 2013.
Stuard’s practice areas include trial, family and criminal law; DUI; debt collection; wills and estates; guardian ad litem; expunction; contract disputes; personal and real property; land sales; land disputes; car wrecks and personal injury.
Stuard is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, American Bar Association, Young Lawyers Association of Lauderdale County, MS, Lauderdale County Bar Association and the Armed Citizen Legal Defense Network.
She is married to Michael Thornton of Prentiss and they reside in Magee. Stuard is the daughter of Dr. James H. Stuard of Magee and Lori Shelton of Pearl.
