By James Davis
The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Ephesians 6:8: “You know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.” How wonderful to know that the Lord is no respecter of persons. The apostle tells the early Christians that their good deeds will be rewarded, regardless of their social status. In other Scriptures, we’re admonished to spend our time going about doing good with the stipulation that we’re not to do works in order to profit or for self-aggrandizement. God will have no part in rewarding our ulterior motives. Instead, let us put the welfare of others above our own and allow the Lord to do the weighing and judging. Amen!
Happy Thursday! Strive to help somebody today.
