Stephen Grady Kelly was born December 10, 1946 and passed away January 26, 2019.
He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and on various committees. Steve was a member of Westville Masonic Lodge No. 78.
He served as Assistant Chief at Pinola Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years and was a member of the Simpson County 911 Committee. Steve loved his family and church. He had a heart for serving others and will be deeply missed by his family and community.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Magee and from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church on Tuesday.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Mendenhall. The Burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Roger Lee and Bro. Buddy Keys Will officiate will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements (601) 849-5031.
He preceded in death by his parents Rufus and Willie Ford and brother, David Kelly.
He is survived by his wife Vera Annette Kelly, son Sambo Kelly (Shelly), daughter Angee Nolan (John), grandson Clay Nolan, granddaughter Ashley Nolan, brother Stanley Kelly (Juanice), sister Wilda Clettenberg (Chuck) and numerous nieces and nephews, including his favorite niece Sonya Patrick.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Abernathy, Eugene Blair, Leroy Blair, Sambo Kelly, John Nolan and Larry Walker.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Leon Brown, John Dupree, Ryan Gill, Michael Gill, Avery Harris , Roger Lee, Scott Lee, Don Luper, Glenn Millis, Joe Puckett, Adam Raws, Cathy Smith, Blake Smith, Scott Smith, Austin Teaters, Janie Walker, Audrey Welch and Wyatt Welch.
