Stanley Lavelle Cook, 91 of Magee, MS passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Magee, MS. He was born Sunday, August 13, 1933 in Smith County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 08, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Burial will follow in Kennedy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Sandra Cook Hancock will officiate. Special music will be performed by Stacey Bynum Jones and MaKayla Cook Runnels. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

He was preceded in death by his parents,Charlie Thomas Cook and Rosie Padgett Cook; brothers, Armon Cook (Ethree), Butell Cook, Ezra David Cook (Simmie).

Survivors include his brother, Eugene Cook (Selvis Jean) of Magee; nephew, Wesley Cook (Almee) of Magee; sister-in-law, Hilda Cook of Pearl.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Cook, Drake Roberts, Jason East, Brian East, David C. Cook, and David G. Cook.
