Spring walk

I know it’s not spring yet, but today is one of those days that promises “better days ahead”.

I walked around my yard and listened to the birds; I felt the gentle breeze and smelled the wonderful aroma of my two Sweet Olive trees; I noticed my roses’ new growth. I stopped and thought how much I am blessed by God. I know many friends and family that cannot enjoy a simple walk in their yards. They are suffering; many are sitting at the bedside of precious loved ones and praying for the miracle of healing. Some are struggling with finances, trying to pay debts and keep the lights on and the water running.

Role models can be positive or negative.

Don’t put a lot of concern into what others think of you.

But no matter our circumstances, God promises “better days ahead”!! I have been in the middle of all of the situations I just described and I felt lost, lonely, angry, and resentful! But I am a child of the King and my Father blessed me with His Peace! He didn’t send me a million dollars to instantly get out of

debt, he didn’t heal my parents or my brother like I asked, but He gave me His peace to handle the grief,

endurance to push through each hurt, the will to fight each day and, after all of this, He blessed me with a closer walk with Him!

I don’t have magical words of wisdom, but I know the Master of the Wind, the Artist that paints the sunrises and the sunsets, and the Father that loves His children enough to die for them!! Call on Him and He will provide!!

Isaiah 59:1 “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear;”

Psalm 37:25 “I have been young and now I am old, Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken Or his descendants begging bread.”
