Mendenhall Elementary held its Annual Spelling Bee on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. These five students will move on to District Competition.

Pictured here from left to right: 1st Place Serenity Skiffer 6th grade from Ms Jennifer Walker’s class, 2nd place Jordon McWilliams 5th grade in Mrs. Brooke Jones class, Braylon Harper who is a 5th grader with Mrs. Marcie Tuggle, Levi Hancok is a 5th grader in Mrs. Brook Jones room and Erica Hughes Edwards who hails from Ms Jennifer Walker’s 6th grade class. Mendenhall Elementary would like to congratulate these students on their stellar spelling!

We would also like to recognize all the participants who studied and practiced to become eligible for the spelling bee. These students include: Giselle Hill, Audra Evans, Alex May, Psylis Lindeman, Reagan Adams, Joi Brown, Liana White,  Zoey Lewis, Jordynn Payne, Brystan Page, Grayson Coker, Kelvin Jenkins, Kylee McDonald, Ralph Johnson, Atilla Powell, Khloie Walter, Carson Scott, Blessingh Lee, Leah Snipes, Amari Buckley, Sadie Allen and Jordan Dixson.  The Spelling Bee was coordinated by Mrs. Dene Miller and Mrs. Nicole Taylor, our Gifted teachers..
