The House Passed a bill that would distribute funds across the state with Simpson county seeing roughly 600,000 dollars of this new funding. The Senate will vote on the bill on Friday. On the Senate side, a state lottery was passed.
The lottery is expected to bring in 40 million dollars within its first year of operation, and could see up to 80 million dollars by its second. The House will see this bill Friday in Jackson. Many big decisions are being made in Jackson, and MageeNews.com will continue to keep you updated on these decisions.
