A special called meeting of the Board of Education of the Simpson County School District was held Monday, July 8, 2019 at noon to approve the 2019-2020 proposed budget. The proposed budget was presented during the June 27, 2019 special called board meeting. With a 4-0 decision, the new budget was accepted and approved. Mrs. Lilly Hardy was absent and did not vote.
The board approved to pay Southgroup for insurance premium and bond payments due for the 2019-2020 fiscal school year.
The regular schedule board meeting for July has been moved to Thursday, July 18, 2019 beginning at 4:00 p.m.
A special called work session is scheduled for Friday, July 19, 2019 beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the District Office Board Room.
