Southern Pine Electric Cooperative is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors voted unanimously today to enter into a collaborative agreement with TEC, a technology company providing fiber internet to people in rural areas of Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee. Through the announcement of this agreement, Southern Pine’s board and management team has made true on the promise to pursue a broadband solution while also protecting our members’ ownership in Southern Pine. Through this collaboration, TEC will bring fiber internet to many of Southern Pine’s members that are unserved or underserved.

This is an exciting project that will bring many opportunities to our area, help increase productivity for businesses, promote better health and medical services, and provide more educational opportunities for our members that are unserved or underserved.

For more information, you may visit TEC.com/SouthernPineFiber. Information will also be available on Southern Pine’s website early next week.

We hope that you will join with us in our excitement as we look toward a bright future of moving our state, the service territory and our members forward.

Thank you, Don Jordan
