Southern Miss Staff Members Take Home Top Awards at College Public Relations Association of Mississippi Conference

Several University of Southern Mississippi staff members were honored for their work at the College Public Relations Association of Mississippi (CPRAM) 2016 Conference held May 22-24 in Ocean Springs, Miss. The CPRAM awards recognizes exceptional work by communications, marketing and public relations professionals at colleges and universities across the state of Mississippi.

Southern Miss took home a total of 11 awards in the senior division of the competition, which is open to all of the state’s four-year universities and colleges. Southern Miss swept the “Single Piece of Artwork” category, taking four awards.

“I’m proud that the University Communications team continues to execute creative concepts that do more than just attract attention; they advance the institution,” said Chief Communication Officer Jim Coll. “Our work for USM, as well as for Mississippi Public Universities, competes favorably with the best in our state and region. These CPRAM awards offer additional evidence of that fact.”

Award winners include the following:

Second Place – Advertisements – Mississippi Public Universities Raising the Profile Ads: Office of University Communications
Second Place – Annual Report – University Libraries Annual Report: Hillary Lovinggood, Brittney Westbrook, Heather Graves, Lynn McCarver
Second Place – Single Piece of Artwork – Machinal Theatre Poster: Kat VanSkiver, Brittney Westbrook, Heather Graves, Lynn McCarver
