LAUREL, Miss. –– South Central Regional Medical Center, in collaboration with Covington County Hospital, Magee General Hospital and Simpson General Hospital, will host a free educational series titled “Medicare & You.” The event series is designed to help eligible individuals better understand Medicare enrollment, which takes place from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7.
Medicare enrollment is often a confusing time for those navigating the process. To help patients make the best decisions regarding their medical coverage, South Central Regional Medical Center and its partners are welcoming a third-party speaker to their campuses to discuss coverage with patients.
To provide expert guidance, the hospitals have invited speaker, Lorie Mills, RHIT, CCS, the Vice President of Operations for Primeau Consulting Group, a boutique health information consulting firm, that is based in Torrance, California.
Admission to the seminars is free and open to the public, and the speaker will be conducting multiple sessions for each partner site. She will be at the following locations:
  • Tuesday, Oct. 7
    • 10 a.m. at South Central Place, 2260 MS-15, Laurel, MS 39440
    • 2 p.m. at Collins Civic Center, 3220 Hwy. 49, Collins, MS 39428
