Sneak Peak of The Vault

Get ready to step into one of Magee’s most unique businesses—The Vault. The Vault is a downtown eatery with a style and elegance that almost makes one think of New Orleans! Jean-Philippe and Nona Cook have re-invented the Cattail Creek (former Trustmark) building on Main Street into a building that will make its own history!

Patrice and I visited with Nona for a sneak peak…and we found even more than expected! Although the front of the building has had little change, the interior is totally different. The richness of the wall color, the design of the light fixtures, the distressed tables, the wooden bar, the black ceiling, the TVs, the stage area…are dynamite!

The bar counter top is from a good ole Simpson county pine tree that Jean-Philippe cut down and Jimmy Mangum planed. (I do love wood). Nona distressed the majority of the tables. The restaurant can seat 100. Nona and Jean-Philippe hope to be open in about 3 weeks…for sure by Valentine! Lunch will be available daily with dinner being served on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. The only day The Vault will be closed is Mondays. Sunday lunch will be served. (Certain areas will qualify for lunch delivery) The Vault is available for rental…taking bookings now!

Jean-Philippe Sr. and Jr. did the construction of The Vault. The guys and Nona put their heads together to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The actual vault in the building will serve as a Gift Shop.

Employment positions available: Servers, Bussers, Chef, hostess, and drivers
Applications are available Thursdays from 1-4.

The Vault is located at 101 Main Avenue South.
