The Simpson Cougars played the Hartfield Hawks this week to kick off District Play. The first of a three game series was played on Tuesday at home and saw a decisive win for the Cougars with the final score of 11-3. The Cougars would then travel to Hartfield on Thursday to face the Hawks on the road. The Cougars played a double-header falling to Hartfield in the first game but would go on to win the second game with a final score of 5-2. The Cougars will continue district play next week facing the East Rankin Academy Patriots.
