Update on Simpson County School Board Meeting

June 5, 2026

Simpson Girl’s Softball teams started early on Saturday morning in Hattiesburg playing in a tournament hosted by Columbia.  Simpson JV team began the day off playing against Amite County with Paige Vanderford pitching for Simpson ending in a win for Simpson.  Simpson Varsity team took the field with Morgan Griffith on the mound pitching a great game playing the Varsity team of Amite County.  Simpson loses the game only due errors on their behalf.

Simpson’s JV girls took their mighty bats up against Parklane with Paige Vanderford and Morgan Griffith double teaming the Parklane Rebels only to come up short for the win.  Simpson JV has a mighty team headed for the future. Great ball players.

BaileySimpson Varsity girls take the field against Oak Forrest.  Bailey Sartin claims the pitcher’s mound against the stout Louisiana team.  Great hits from the Simpson girls, Bailey Sartin and Annie Maddox along with others ending the game with Simpson winning 6 – 0

Last game of the day was Simpson Varsity playing their rival team, Brookhaven.  Bailey Sartin again takes control of the pitcher’s mound and the Simpson girl’s bats were hot.  Simpson takes the win at 12 – 1 over Brookhaven.

Simpson has a team of great quality players that want to play the game to win.
