The Clarion Ledger has released its MAIS preseason poll and Simpson is ranked 3rd. The AAA rankings are:
1. Starkville Academy
2. Silliman Institute, Louisiana
3. Simpson Academy
4. Cathedral high school
5. Columbia Academy
Simpson, Cathedral High School, and Columbia Academy are all in the same district. District 4-AAA.
According to rankings, it looks like it could be a good year for the Cougars.
