Simpson basketball faced Columbia Academy for their first game of 2019 and won every game. The JV Girls won their game with a victory of 43-20. The JV Boys also defeated Columbia with a final score of 49-28. In the most competitive game of the night, Varsity Girls, the game ran down the wire. Simpson won with an end score of 39-36. Finally, the Varsity Boys were victorious with a score of 77-32. The Cougars will face off Saturday, January 5, against East Rankin. This will begin district play for the Cougars.
