Simpson has always considered Leake Academy as Rivals on the football field. Rivals or not, these band of brothers that plays the game of high school football stand together.
Last week Leake Academy football player, Grant Roberson, became ill during one of their afternoon practice. Leake Academy’s coaches responded quickly and got Grant air lifted to UMC where Grant remains today.
Simpson Academy Football has always began their games with prayer and with great tradition after each and every game, along with the almost the entire Simpson fans, they kneel and give God the Glory. Last night Simpson traveled to Leake Academy with Grant Roberson on their minds and in their hearts. The Cheerleaders posted a Cheer Sign showing Leake Academy families that they too are praying for one of their own. Repectfully the game begins and the competition begins, may the best team win. Simpson pulls out a great win over Leake with a win of 34 – 18.
Until next game with Leake Academy, we continue to pray for Grant for a speedy recovery.
