The Simpson Academy Cougars were defeated in the opening game of the year 31-8 by Parklane Academy.
Parklane offense picked up 17 points in the first half. Simpson scored 8 in the first half with half time score 17-8. Simpson failed to score in the second half of the game leaving the field open for Parklane who scored an additional 21 points.
The Cougars host Leake Academy on August 24th at 7 PM. Parklane Academy and Leake Academy are non-conference games.
