Simpson JV Boys Win District Championship

The Simpson Academy JV Boys’ Basketball Team won the district championship against Park Place Christian Academy on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at East Rankin Academy in Pelahatchie.

Freshman Thomas Jones scores two points on a fast break for the Simpson Academy Cougars.

The team entered the district tournament in first place and began tournament play by defeating Wayne Academy 47-20 earlier in the day.

Park Place beat Leake in the first round to advance to the championship against Simpson. The Cougars, undefeated in district play, defeated the Crusaders 46-24 to become district champs.
