Mendenhall Elementary School (MES) is pleased to announce the winners of its Sixth Annual Bookmark Contest, hosted by the school’s library.

Open to all students in kindergarten through fifth grade, participants had a month to create a bookmark that promoted reading with words, favorite characters, and/or pictures. The contest began in December.

MES school librarian Tracey Crawford said the competition gets harder each year, as judges have a tough time choosing winners from so many creative submissions. However, judges look for artwork that expresses the desired elements required by the students.
