Simpson County Technical Center’s Program Feature of the Month – Diesel Technology
Simpson County Technical Center (SCTC) is proud to offer a diesel technology program that prepares students for a wide range of careers in the fast-growing diesel industry. A two-part course, students enrolled in the diesel technology program learn how to apply technical knowledge and skills for the specialized maintenance and repair of gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles. In addition to earning two credits/years toward graduation, students in the program also earn a national Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification, which is granted to automotive technicians who have completed required training and obtained their ASE Certified Master Technicians requirements – meaning they are qualified to work on every mechanical, electrical component and system in a vehicle.
Here at Simpson County School District, we are preparing today’s students for tomorrow’s workforce.
