Simpson County Superbowl is facing its 95th rivalry game!
For 91 years the Simpson County Super Bowl has been played the last game of the regular football season with the exception of two years being played at the beginning of season in Jackson at Memorial Stadium for High School Super Saturday.
The last three years the game has been during the first part of season due to both schools not in the same district and last games are reserved for district play!
The year brings change once again! The Simpson County Superbowl will be played on Thursday night, August 30, 2018 at 7:00 pm! This will give other schools and students the opportunity to come and watch a long running rivalry between two Simpson County Schools and the battle for the Walley Beech Trophy!
Although the date is different the rivalry is no less intense.
Students and staff at both schools will enjoy a week of dressing up and showing spirit leading up to game day!
The two teams are pumped and ready for play.
The game will be played at Magee High School.
The overall record of the series is very close but to date Magee leads with 48 wins to Mendenhall’s 44 with 2 games ending in ties.
Game begins at 7:00 but gates will open early for those who want the best seats.
Wear your school colors and support your favorite team.
