Simpson County is still under a burn ban. Both the county and City of Magee have asked for the ban to be extended 14 more days due to lack of rain fall needed.

The county did receive rain fall this past weekend but was not enough moisture to remove the ban. The ban has been extended until November 15, 2022. At that time a decision will be made it to continue the extension.

Emergency responders and personnel request that citizens do not burn any leaves or anything during this time frame.
