If you receive a phone call from anyone claiming to be an investigator with the Simpson County Sheriff’s Dept. or representing the 13th District Circuit Court attempting to collect a debt., fine, or payment for service of process- This is a SCAM!
No one with the court nor the sheriff’s dept. will call you and ask that you send payment for a fine via “Green Dot” or “Red Dot” or any other electronic means. Please do not give anyone your name, date of birth, or ANY identifying information. Do not send the scammers money.
