The Chromebooks are currently being assigned and labeled with students’ names and are scheduled for delivery next week to each school.

Parents/Students must agree to the SCSD Board Policies prior to receiving a Chromebook.

Each school will notify parents of the specific dates and times when the Chromebooks will be dispersed.  The times will vary at each school.

Parents will not have to pay a $25 fee to receive a Chromebook.

Students will not be allowed to use their own devices at school.

The Chromebook is the property of the school district, but will be reissued to the student each year for their use. (The student will be reissued the same Chromebook each year as long as the student attends that specific school.)

Thanks to Senator Chris Caughman and Representative Price Wallace for their diligent work in obtaining these Chromebooks for our Simpson County Schools.  The money for the Chromebooks was part of the CARES Act.
