Dear Friends:
Last Wednesday in a special called meeting, the Simpson County Board of Education voted to utilize the services of Mississippi School Board Association to search for our next superintendent of education. Yours truly was the only “no” vote, as I preferred to handle locally. The final selection will still be up to the Simpson County School Board. The way the process is supposed to work is the MSBA will screen applicants for qualifications, the applications will be sent to the Board, and we will interview all qualified applicants.
If you know of anyone qualified who is interested, please tell them to apply through the Mississippi School Board Association. The link should be on their website soon- maybe today. I am attaching the statutory qualifications and the alternate qualifications from Mississippi Department of Education.
Please pray for us as a Board that the Lord will give us wisdom, and direct our minds.
