The swearing-in ceremony for Simpson County newly elected officials was held Friday, January 3, 2020 at the Simpson County Courthouse.

The courtroom was packed with well wishers for the event.  Congressman Michael Guest was in attendance showing support for his friend Paul Mullins and other elected officials.

Sheriff Paul Mullins was the first official sworn into office.  Judge Broome of Rankin County administered the oath to Mullins.  Mullins’ family was present for the ceremony.  Paul chose the Bible of his late mother and father, Max and Jo Mullins, for the swearing in.
