Friday night lights and high school football has returned for all Simpson County Schools.

Simpson will hit the road traveling to Wayne County Academy. Simpson hopes to bounce back from last weeks lost. The Cougars are still battling the COVID issues with players and coaches being affected.

Mendenhall opens up the season against Columbia at home. The Tigers defeated North West Rankin in a jamboree last week.

Magee will host a jamboree game against Heidelberg. The Trojans will get a first look at what the team has to offer with a new quarterback, offensive, and new coach. Defense should look familiar with most players returning.

Good luck to all the area teams.

All games start at 7:00 p.m.
