This year’s local Distinguished Young Women’s program (DYW)is this Saturday, March 29, 2025, at FBC Mendenhall at 5:00.
Six junior girls are competing for the title of Simpson County DYW 2026.
This year’s participants are
Danni Cooper of Magee,
Corinne Allen of Mendenhall,
Lauryn McRaney of Mendenhall
Ashlynn May of Mendenhall,
Olivia Monk of Magee, and
Jayci Beasley of Mendenhall.
The winner of the annual program will compete in Meridian this summer at the state program.
DYW is a program that offers college scholarships for young ladies and encourages leadership, community involvement, physical fitness, and academics.
Last years winner, Chloe Woodard, is from Mendenhall.
Admission to the program is $10 and tickets can be purchased at the door.
