Simpson County Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 9:00 am for regular schedule meeting.

Meeting was called to order by President, Larry Walker.

Reports were given and approved.

JM Hooker, Road Manager, gave his report and approved

Ms Hall & MS Gutherz from Mississippi Department of Corrections met with board and asked for amending of wording of current lease Technical Violation Center.

Glen Jennings, Emergency Management Coordinator gave his report.

Rhuel Dickinson, County Administrator, presented his report.

  1. Adopt an order to approve the Claims Docket of December 15, 2015, in the amount of $389,893.85 and the elcectronic payment cliam for VISA in the amount $4.23.
  2. Authorize the November 2015 Completed Claims Docket to be made part of the minutes and for the Board President to sign.
  3. Approve the payroll authorization from and hiring Jerry Cox for part-time driver in the Solid Waste Department effective 12-15-2015.
  4. Approve  financial reports and Solid waste Reports for the month of November 2015, as presented by the County Administrator
  5. Acknowledge and record in the board minutes
    1. D’Lo Water Park Daily Recap Report for November, 2015
  6. Consider the impending retirement of Sheriff Lewis and the appointment of an interim Sheriff for the period of January 1-3, 2015.

Meeting went into executive Session to discuss personnel issues in the Accounting Department.

With no further business meeting was adjourned.
