For 99 years the tradition has been apart of Simpson County.  Due to COVID, the game was not played in 2020; thus the reason for the 99th meeting between the teams.

For 91 years the Simpson County Super Bowl was played the last game of the regular football season with the exception of two years  played at the beginning of  the season in Jackson at Memorial Stadium for High School Super Saturday.

Come and watch a long running rivalry between two Simpson County Schools and the battle for the Walley Beech Trophy!

Although the date is different, the rivalry is no less intense.

Students and staff at both schools will enjoy a week of dressing up and showing spirit leading up to game day!

The two teams are pumped and ready for play.

The game will be played this Friday, September 1, 2023 at Magee High School.

The overall record of the series is very close but to date Magee leads with 51 wins to Mendenhall’s 45 with 2 games ending in ties.

Game begins at 7:00 p.m. but gates will open early for those who want the best seats. Reminder Simpson County School District has a clear bag policy that has been adopted. Only clear bags will be allowed in the stadium.

Wear your school colors and support your favorite team.

Be loud and cheer your team to victory.
