Arrest made in stolen vehicle pursuit that originated in Richland and terminated in Simpson County on Lewis Road off Old Pearl Road, NW of Harrisville, MS. After the pursuit by Richland Police and Rankin County Sheriff’s Office into Simpson County was terminated, about 3:00 pm, Metro 1 helicopter located the stolen 1999 white Chevrolet pickup abandoned at a residence near the water tower on Lewis Road a short time later. During the subsequent manhunt, a vehicle stop was made on Lewis Road about 6pm by a Simpson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics investigator and the subject was apprehended without incident and transferred to Richland Police.
