The Simpson Academy Track Team under the direction of Coach Angel Overstreet made quite a showing at the State Track Meet.
“We only had 7 kids qualify for Overall State today, but every single one placed top 5. I’m so proud of their hard work & determination to succeed. Our girls ended up with over 50 points with only 6 girls. That’s pretty impressive!” (Coach Overstreet)
Drew Williams placed 3rd in the State AAAA pole vault division.
Chanse Funchess won the State AAAA Champion in high jump clearing 6’2”
Layla Warren State AAAA Champion 1600 meters
State AAAA silver medalist 300m hurdles ~ Chloe Shomon
State AAAA Champions 4×800 meter relay~ Emma Overstreet, Lilly Overby, Layla Warren & Carson Carter.
