Sidney Shannon Grubbs
(August 25, 1973 – July 28, 2022)

Sidney Shannon Grubbs, 48 of Mendenhall, Mississippi passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Ellisville State School in Ellisville, Mississippi. He was born Saturday, August 25, 1973, in Jackson, Mississippi.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Grubbs Family Cemetery in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Brother Earl Clark and Brother Adam Wyatt will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

He was preceded in death by his father, George Brent Grubbs; and sister, Jimmie Rebecca Grubbs.

Survivors include his loving mother, Jimmie Smith Grubbs of Mendenhall, MS; one brother, Jason Grubbs (Minette) of Calhoun, LA; one sister, Leslee Grubbs Brock (Darryl) of Summit, MS; one nephew, Bennett Grubbs of Calhoun, LA; four nieces, Mckenzie Brock Spiers (Dylan) of Carriere, MS, Sarah Brock Owen (Matthew) of Summit, MS, Jenna Brock of Summit, MS and Moie Grubbs of Calhoun, LA; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Chris Caughman, Bryce Caughman, Darryl Brock, Matthew Owen, Jason Grubbs, and Dylan Spiers.

The family would like to express their thanks to all of the staff from Ellisville State School for all of the care and love that they have given and shown to Sidney.
