A continuing problem at the Magee Post Office as well as other business who still have walk-in customers is people entering a place of business sick or following being tested for the coronavirus.

How sad!

Almost everything is available drive up now…and I am sure the post office will work with you!

Happy 14th Birthday to Larkin!!!

Happy 14th Birthday to Larkin!!!

April 8, 2026

Just this week, a customer came into the post office at closing time to get a money order.  After she gets the money order she goes to the table to complete the money order.  (There are signs everywhere that says business requiring standing and writing must be taken care of in the outside lobby.) The customers tells the postmaster that she just had her grand baby “tested” because she is running a fever, coughing and wheezing.  The results from the test will not be available until the next day…so “I’m trying to get my business done before I get quarantined!”

This lady was endangering the lives of the employees and their families.  Actions like this will cause the Post office to have to close to all window traffic if we are not careful.

I am amazed at people who have no regards for others and their situation.  Please, if you know someone who is sick, remind them not to get out and about!  Stay-At-Home is for a reason.  Follow the rules!
