Shirley Nell (Vanderford) Millis passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022. She was born on December 13, 1951, to Rufus Elton Vanderford “Top” and Era Nell (Higgins) Warren.
She is survived by her daughter, Sonya Millis; sisters, Sylvia Gregory, Deborah Butler (Ramon), Syble Puckett, Penny Furr (Tim), Sally Jones (Larry), Linda Byrd, Brenda Sonnenberg (Jimmy); grandchildren, Preston Millis (Abby), Kayla Canterberry (Adam), Madison Shinstock (Chris), and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Mac Millis, Sr.; son, Harold Mac Millis, Jr. and parents, Rufus Vanderford and Era Warren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 28, 2022, from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall. Services will be held in Tutor Chapel at 4:00 pm. Interment will follow at Galilee Baptist Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
