Catherine was a woman who spent her life living out Jesus’ command to love your neighbor as yourself.  She loved others and she didn’t just say it, she showed it through her intentional care and concern for the needs of others.  She was a devoted wife and partner to her husband of 61 years.  She journeyed through life by his side in all the ups and downs and God answered her prayer to be holding his hand when he went to meet Jesus on March 22 of this year.  She was a caring and nurturing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who took great pride in her family. She was a devoted member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church for more than 50 years and she loved her church family and was a faithful example of the love of Christ to those around her.
