Sharon Ann Kennedy-Wynalda was born March 14, 1947, to Edadeen (Dunkin) Wimer and Robert Wimer in Olney, IL.  Sharon Kennedy-Wynalda passed away on July 10, 2025, in her home in Magee, MS.

Sharon Ann Kennedy-Wynalda was a beloved mother to her two children. She is survived by her daughter, Deana Kennedy of Magee, MS; her son, Phillip Bradford Kennedy of Johns, MS; and her younger sister, Marsha Sportsman of Springfield, MO. Sharon leaves her family a void we’ll never be able to fill.  We will forever miss her love, kindness, wisdom, compassion, and her sense of humor.

Sharon grew up in Owensboro, KY, and attended high school there.  Her family relocated to Jackson, MS, in 1966, where Sharon met and married Phillip Don Kennedy in 1968. Sharon was a devoted mother to Deana and Brad, always letting them know they were her pride and joy. Sharon was very loving and supportive of her children, sisters, and extended family members.  Sharon’s deep love for her family was truly a treasure, and her faith a blessed example.

Sharon was ill for more than 25 years, and despite pain and upset, she never wavered in her beliefs.  Deana and Marsha were grateful to have been her caregivers.  Sharon’s humor and sense of fun kept us going strong for years.  Sharon will live on in our hearts and minds through all our cherished memories of her.  We celebrate her release from pain and suffering as she crosses over to her heavenly life.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Phillip Don Kennedy, and her sister, Bobbie Sue Clarke of Nashville, TN.

Sharon leaves behind her daughter, Deana Kennedy; sister Marsha Sportsman and husband Tim; Elizabeth Heflin and husband Ryan and great nieces, Audrey Ann & Ruby Rae of Carthage, MO; and her niece, Heather & Jordan Fuellner of Springfield MO; and her son’s family, Brad Kennedy & spouse, and his children Gabby, Cara & Miller Kennedy; and many extended Kennedy family in-laws, nieces and nephews of Puckett, MS.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society.  No funeral will take place per Sharon’s request.  Her immediate family will have a celebration of life ceremony in October 2025.

Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
