The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Matthew 7:2: “For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Let that resonate for a moment. Read it again. How do we weigh the actions of others? Are we quick to judge and denounce from our lofty perch, or do we consider our own precarious position in God’s sight and leave the judging to Him? We have all sinned and come short of God’s glory. The apostle knew from his close association with Jesus that we mortals are to temper our natural tendency to judge harshly by remembering that we are judged by God in the same measure as we judge others. Amen!
