Set examples for new converts

The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in 1 Timothy 4:12: “Set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.” Do we not have a heavy responsibility with regard to our fellow believers? This makes it decidedly clear, especially for those who have more age and experience being Christians. We are to set examples for new converts to show them that we are what we profess to be. Let us be mindful as we go about the daily rounds and common tasks. Never let it be said that we are a stumbling block. I’m reminded of the old hymn “Let Others See Jesus in You.” Sing the chorus with me: “Let others see Jesus in you. Let others see Jesus in you. Keep telling the story, be faithful, be true. Let others see Jesus in you.” Amen!
