The Scriptural passage for today is found in 1 Timothy 4:12: “Set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.” The apostle is here admonishing early Christians to conduct themselves in exemplary ways so other believers, especially new converts, would be less apt to stumble. It’s very important that we gauge ourselves constantly so we will not be called to account by God. We are given a code of conduct as His children, and it’s mirrored clearly in the life and teachings of Jesus. Study His life and observe how He dealt with people, how He mingled. The Word of God for the people of God; thanks be to God.
Daily reminder: let’s be sure to share with others the love, joy, and kindness with which God has gifted us. Let each overflow and touch all with whom we come in contact. This will be pleasing to God.
