Engineering students from Simpson County Technical Center visited Stennis Space Center to
tour CNMOC facilities as part of the GenSea program, including the Naval Oceanography Mine
Warfare Center equipment area, the DSRC supercomputers, and the Naval Oceanographic Office
geology labs. The students got to look at how Sailors and civilians work in various science-based
spaces to support the enterprise worldwide. GenSea is a collaborative effort at the University of
Southern Mississippi to introduce students to the vast career opportunities in our coastal corridor.
