Simpson County Technical Center’s Metal Fabrication, HVAC & Construction/Carpentry students attended BlueScope Coating Manufacturing Day in Byram, MS on October 3, 2025. Students had the unique opportunity to tour the facility and hear directly from manufacturing professionals about their career journeys and the wide range of opportunities available in the industry. Students witnessed the advanced technologies and innovative work environment that make manufacturing an exciting career choice. In addition, students enjoyed a delicious meal provided by BlueScope. BlueScope is a leading steel supplier and manufacturer for the building and construction industries, delivering high-quality steel products globally. Students learned about starting salaries for employment and advancements within the company.
